Nuit Blanche

By: Jonquil Jardine

I usually go to Nuit Blanche downtown but this year I decided to check out the instalments by Scarborough Town Centre and I was amazed. This year, an artist by the name of Hiba Abdallah executed what you see below- words on a government building. She interviewed members of the Scarborough community and displayed parts of their conversation. Cool, right? Enjoy!

At Glance: EverGreen Brick Works

I recently visited EverGreen Brick Works and fell in love! There’s so much to do and see. For example, there’s a farmers market that takes place every Saturday, along with food trucks and events. Check out their website for upcoming events. You won’t regret it. Side note: parking is around $2.50/hour. Enjoy the photos! By Jonquil Jardine

Gagan's End of Summer Shoot

A photoshoot with my friend, Gagan. As the fall colours begin to take over, we tried to capture that last bit of summer.

Lifestyle-to x David Forteau

David and I first met at a portrait meet in June 2016 that happened at Underpass Park. Since that meet we’ve been meaning to collaborate but couldn’t find the time to do so. It wasn’t until I was tasked to do two photo shoots for the site and I reached out to David a month before school began. We met up at Evergreen Brickworks on a Friday in September. It was a little humid but we managed to get some shots in the heat. David happens to be a breakdancer, photographer, and model and what I had envisioned for the shoot is to incorporate his dance moves into the greenspace. It was a short photo shoot that went on for 45 minutes. We went from the trails to the shed.
